Tango Origins & Passion

Phoenix Collective is the initiative of Sydney violinist Dan Russell.

Dan and I will be presenting some of the most iconic twentieth century tangos, some anecdotes and tango lore passed through generations. We’ll be joined by Katie Robinson on piano, a graduate of Sydney Conservatorium of Music and  TangoOz. Katie also studied tango piano with celebrated maestros in Buenos Aires in 2016

Join us for this exciting concert featuring the works of Angel Villoldo, Astor Piazzolla and his contemporaries Horacio Salgan, Victor Lavallen, Nestor Marconi and more.
